The different ski sectors
There are more than one ski sector in Verbier. Buy the correct ticket for the area that you want/need. If you don’t know Verbier, the website from Verbier may be sometimes a bit confusing in telling you what is included in which sector. So here is a small overview.

4 Vallées
This is the all included ticket. With that ticket you can go on any lift without problems. Of course it’s the most expensive. And skiing from Verbier to Thyon 2000 and back will take most of the day. But it’s fun.
Verbier (included in 4 Vallées)
The Verbier sector is the red sector in the image, and includes the sector Savoleyres too. And it includes of course the beginners lift “Les Esserts” just across the street. The fastest way to get to the lifts from the appartment, follow this map to the lift “Le Rouge”, but only if the lift is open and there is enough snow. From the top of “Le Rouge” you can easely reach the chairlift “Mayentzet”. (The green line shows the part to walk, the red line the part you can ski.)

If there is not enough snow, or the “Le Rouge” is not open, then you have two options:
- Take the bus number 2 (Medran) down to Medran, where the cabins takes you to “La Ruinettes”.
Medran is the “main station” where you also can buy tickets at the counter. But in the morning, there may be many people with some waiting time. - Take the bus number 2 (Medran) to Savolayres (2 stops) and change to the bus number 1 (Carrefour). From Carrefour you reach easily the chairlift “Mayentzet”.
(This is our preffered option.)
Savolayres/La Tzoumaz (included in 4 Vallées and Verbier)
This is the sector which in our opinion is ideal for families. The slopes are a little less challenging and less crowded than in the Verbier sector. Still, good skiers will enjoy this sector as well, as there are some pretty good slopes. The ticket for Savolayres is not valid for the sector “Verbier” and you cannot ski on the “Les Esserts” with that ticket.
In the season 2025/26 you take the bus number 2 (Medran) to Savolayres (2 stops) where you take the cabins. Also you can buy the tickets at the counter there.
Bruson (included in 4 Vallées, Verbier and Savolayres/Tzoumaz)
The sector Bruson is on the other side of the valley. You will have to take the cabins from “Medran” down to “Le Chable” to go up again on the other side. The ski sector is not that big, but is fun if you want to explore and not ski the same slopes every day.
